Trinity vs. Dickinson

The Bantams got back in the win column against Dickinson in their second game in Nashville, TN over spring break. The Bants played well together, created a forceful attack, capitalized on their free position shots, took care of the ball, and played solid defense that caused several turnovers. We edged the Red Devils out on the draw controls and ground balls to help us gain possession of the ball and create some offense for us.
Freshman defender Sarah Montalbano was a key factor in our success today as she caused 3 turnovers and picked up 2 groundballs. She has done an incredible job seamlessly filling the open spot on defense and making an impact right away. Her speed has been a huge factor in us being able to transition the ball from our defense down to our attacking end.
With the game being tied 6-6 at halftime, senior attacker Clare Lyne came out and broke through to score 5 of the 6 goals for the Bantams in the second half. This helped us build a lead over Dickinson and come out on top 12-7. On the day, Clare had 6 goals, 1 assist, 2 groundballs, and 3 draw controls. What a day!
This game wrapped up our trip to Nashville, but the Bantams were happy to end with a W! Back to New England!
